Lausanne, Cathedral

A remarkable and unique rose window as well as a fascinating record of medieval imagery. It is essentially a medieval 'Imago Mundi' or image of the world, the imagined beyond and the cosmos. A few of the panels are modern and some have probably been moved from their original position. For details see the key to the panels.
