C16 - The
Passion and The Crucifixion
The Crucifixion is portrayed between the two thieves
with soldiers immediately below and to the sides; on the left is Pilate on horseback with Mary and St John below
the repentant thief.
The scenes below the transome are (L to R):-
- The Entry to Jerusalem
- In the Garden of Gethsemene
- Pilate washing his hands
- The Scourging
- The Via Crucis with Christ carrying the Cross.
