Radley, St James

An interesting collection of royal coats-of-arms from Tudor times, though very restored by Willement in the mid C19. His elaborate resettings of the various coats include those for Henry VII between dragon and greyhound supporters, for Henry VIII between lion and dragon, and for Henry VI between a pair of spaniels. In the tower W window is an early C16 largely original portrait of Henry VII as a young man. The E window has two panels of C16 French(?) glass with a donor, weeping women and indeterminate scenes.
