Marston Bigot, St Leonard Splendid Flemish and German panels of c. 1500 in the E window, including the beautiful Annunciation; also a fine Crucifixion represented as a Pool of Life that flows into the mouths of the Evangelists; also a scene from the life of St Bernard where, after dinner with friends, his hostess (lurking in a doorway) tried to seduce him that night - but when she tried to ‘invade his bed he shouted “thieves” each time and raised the household for trying to steal his irreplaceable treasure’, as Woodforde puts it!
