Edworth, Church

C14 grisaille against which is set the C14 figure of St Edmund carrying the arrows of his martyrdom (he was an East Anglian king, killed by the Danes for refusing to renounce Christianity, c.870; above him under a canopy is another C14 saintly figure (head modern), and above that fragments that suggest the figure of St George. In the S clerestory is a C15 figure of St James set against quarries. There is an unusual painting on glass in the S aisle in brown and blue enamels, possibly of the eighteenth century
