Addington, St Mary's A fine collection of C16 and C17 Flemish roundels and other panels in ten windows around the church. Most of the subjects are self-explanatory — a detailed study carried out by Dr William Cole, is available in the church. In traditional manner, the subjects are placed around the church the Old Testament subjects are on the N side (along with one or two pagan pieces!), New Testament episodes and the Evangelists in the chancel, Passion scenes in the S Chapel E window, and other New Testament subjects in the S windows. Particularly delightful is the rather dozy lion at the feet of a thoughtful St Mark.
