The 'Bell Founders' Window'
The window is the gift of Richard Tunnoc, citizen,
goldsmith and bell-founder who died 1330. He can be seen kneeling before St William of York with a bell on his
satchel and offering a model of the window to the saint. Bell-making is portrayed in the neighbouring panels. Above
St William is crossing the Ouse Bridge (also depicted in window s.XXXIV on the south side).
In the tracery lights are 3 Apostles including
St Peter and St Andrew
