The glass here has been the subject of much research and debate. There is some glass from the time when the church was founded,1300-04. However most of the glazing dates from when the church was rearranged in the third quarter of the C15. The windows are by the so-called "Master of Walburg" and his school although some are slightly earlier by Peter Hemmel. There was rearrangement in the C16 and again in the C19. Of the panels by the 'Master of Walbourg' some can be seen from same cartoons at the church of Walbourg (q.v.) and at Séléstat. To see these similar panels click here. |
