Reims, Cathedral West window - c.1290 The Gallery of Kings and archbishops beneath the main rose window. The central figure covered with fleurs-de-lis is almost certainly Philippe III, son of Louis IX, crowned in the cathedral in 1271. He has two archbishops in front of him and two more behind; there are also two youthful lay figures and at the extreme left and right two kings. The window was probably given by his son Philippe le Bel after his coronation in 1286 ___ (click on an area for details)
