The E window of the chancel is ‘about a fifth medieval (Mostyn Lewis), ie of c.1500 whereas the Tree of Jesse in its tracery lights is comprised mostly of old glass: thus, of the figures in golden mandorlas at the top of the seven main lights, the Virgin with lily, Christ with the Virgin, God the Father (with new head), and The Spirit all mostly have old glass, whereas St John with chalice and dragon, Gabriel and Mary are mainly modern — the rest of the thirty-five panels form a Te Deum with 105 figures____ return
