Laon, Cathédrale

Laon was one of the earliest Gothic cathedrals and it has a unity of its elements that is rare. Four of its planned towers were built and remain. The portals of the facade were remodelled in the nineteenth century so all of the statues belong to that era. Two original statues can be seen in museums.
