Milton Manor

The first-floor chapel has two C14 windows either side of the altar, said to have come from Steventon Church and set against fragments of grisaille with roundels and heraldic shields. The panels have the Coronation of the Virgin Mary top left and four scenes below, the Nativity, Annunciation, Ascension and Resurrection; the figure drawing is beautiful, but the glass has darkened somewhat in places. There are also some later Flemish panels to the side, some tiny enamel painted scenes of secular life, and a parrot between two C17 coats-of-arms.
