Dyserth, St Bridget

The E window has a fine Tree of Jesse of c. 1533 and a complete set of Apostles carrying Creed scrolls in the tracery lights above of c. 1500; unfortunately the lower layer of panels has been damaged so that Jesse is missing. The Tree, which is not indigenous to the church, is unusual in not having any prophets, whilst the kings and Christ’s ancestors, all labelled in Latin, are well drawn and grouped in threes amid the abundant and intricate foliage.
